Over 20 Years Experience

Taryn M. Scharf, Esq., is a dedicated family law and Juvenile attorney with nearly two decades of experience guiding families through life’s most challenging transitions. With a compassionate and client-focused approach, she has built a reputation for providing steady support and trusted legal counsel to those navigating divorce, custody disputes, estate planning, juvenile dependency, guardianships, and other family law matters.

Taryn’s journey in law began with a passion for advocacy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State University before attending the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor. Demonstrating her strong legal acumen, she passed the California Bar Exam on her first attempt and has since devoted her career to serving families in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, and the surrounding counties.

Her legal career began in juvenile dependency, where she discovered her ability to support children and parents during some of life’s most difficult moments. Now based in Folsom California, she continues to bring that same level of care and dedication to all areas of family law, believing that every family’s story is unique and deserves to be heard without judgment.

Beyond the courtroom, Taryn is deeply involved in her community. Whether she’s volunteering at legal clinics, mentoring new attorneys, paralegals, interns or enjoying time with her own family, she remains committed to making a difference. In her free time, you can find her on the golf course, cheering on the sidelines of a football game, or taking in the beauty of Folsom Lake.

What sets Taryn apart? It’s simple—she treats every client like family. If you’re facing a family law matter and need an attorney who listens, understands, and advocates for you, she’s here to help. Schedule a consultation today to learn how she can guide you toward a brighter future.
