Accessibility Statement

Scharf Law, P.C. wants every visitor, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to read this site and reach the firm.

Our Commitment

Scharf Law, P.C. is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applied in California Unruh Civil Rights Act cases.

What We Have Done

The site is built with semantic HTML landmarks and one logical heading structure per page; every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link; text and controls are checked against WCAG contrast minimums; images carry descriptive alternative text; forms have visible labels, clear required-field markers, and error messages that are announced to screen readers; decorative motion (scroll reveals, cursor effects, page transitions) switches off automatically when a device requests reduced motion; the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide and at 200 percent text zoom; and the cookie-consent banner can be operated by keyboard and does not trap focus. We test with automated tools (axe-core) at desktop and phone widths and with manual keyboard walks.

Known Limitations

The interactive map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps and may not be fully accessible; the office address and a text description appear next to it. If you find any other part of the site difficult to use, please tell us.
